Following on from my discoveries on my cancer journey, this is what I eat on my vegan diet.

5:00-6:00am

Upon rising

Drink 500mls room temperature filtered water, then gentle walk for 15-20 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of light back stretches – pilates, then weighted arm exercises, finishing off with more stretches. Check out www.beatingbackpain.com

6:00-6:30am Drink 1tbsp of apple cider vinegar in ½ glass of filtered water, followed by juice of ½ lemon in cup of boiling filtered water. Then Probiotics, Ribraxx, Vitamin C , Neways:- revenol, orachel, ming gold and feroxin minerals, other supplements in or with glasses of filtered water and 100mls of Bush Tea.NB:  I base all meals around seasonal organic produce, nuts, seeds, grains, legumes,fruits and vegetables.

Why Vegan? Why would someone want to eat mainly raw and living foods?

According to Samudra (our favourite healthy restaurant in Dunsborough WA), they pronounce the following from frequently asked questions:

  1. Health:  Persons embracing this type of diet invariable experience improvements in their general physical and mental status, including more energy, better health, weight loss, detoxification, and a sturdier immune system that better resists and recovers from just about any kind of disease…and the list goes on..
  2. Energy efficiency:  Since you no longer have to cook so much, you don’t waste electricity, and save the environment.
  3. Since you eat organic agriculture, you help to save the planet.  Most become more in-tune with their body; many report definite spiritual improvements.
  4. No animal products are used, so the animals appreciate it.

Barry J Gray, My Cancer Journey Thus Far

Shortly after turning 60, I was diagnosed with inoperable prostate cancer that had spread to bones throughout my body in November 2010.  My Urologist said that my condition was treatable for 2-4 years with hormone injections every 3-4 months, but not curable. He gave no credence to diet helping to treat my condition. He simply told me to go and eat whatever, and enjoy the time that I had left.

He did however tell me about one patient with similar diagnosis, who had good results taking,  ‘Scaevola Spinescens , Maroon Bush Tea ‘, an Aboriginal bush medicine, traditionally used for the treatment of cancer, heart disease, intestinal trouble, urinary problems, kidney trouble and general illnesses.

How to Eat Fruit

It is not as easy as you think to eat fruit correctly!  It’s important to know how and when to eat fruit.  What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS!  FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.  Let’s say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit.  The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.  In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid.  The minute fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil!

Can You Really Treat A Cold?

If you are in a sunny European country or Northern Australia, you will be escaping our cold snap.   Lucky you!  But if you are where I am, our usual sunny Perth is now experiencing lows of Zero degrees and our Eastern neighbours in NSW, Victoria and Tassie are experiencing much colder.

So, as we are in the peak cold and flu period the debate goes on ‘Can you really treat a cold?’

Corrective Pyramid

NUTRITION is not just what you eat; it is everything that you take into your being.

Into your mouth: What food are you eating and how are you preparing it?  What is in your water?
Into your ears: What music are you listening to and is it nourishing your soul?
In through your skin: What cancer –causing substance are you putting on your skin or under your arms?
In through your body: What is carcinogenic in your environment: Cell phone? Power lines? Microwave tower?
In through your mind: What habitual thoughts do you allow to sulk around in your brain? What emotional guilt is undermining your sense of self-worth and will to live?
